Some of you are reporting continuing access problems through the Blackboard/WebCT site. Rather than stuff around with this archaic and outmoded delivery platform, a new Documents section has been added to the menu with all relevant downloads included.

Frustrated at not being able to connect to this website at times? Me too. That's why there's a brand new mirror website for all that's good about Enrolled Nurse education.

So, if enrollednursing.com is slow or unavailable, simply move over to enrollednursing.net. It's much easier on the nervous system..

January 2008

The staff of HAENS (Health, Aged and Enrolled Nursing Services) at TAFE Launceston have begun to trickle back after a fine Christmas break. Coffee, nibblies and Yuletide anecdotes flow aplenty around the office.

EN students will be returning on 4th Feb and Aged Care students on 18th Feb. The EN students are converting to a slightly different version of the Cert IV in Health and thus their study schedule will not match the Tasmanian school terms as closely as the AC courses do.

Plans are in the process for the delivery of the new Diploma of Health in Enrolled Nursing, which is anticipated to begin in July 2008. The new course is still in the planning stage, but it is hoped that full-time and part-time options for study will be available. Nothing is set in stone yet however and the course is subject to accreditation by the Nurses Registration Board of Tasmania. Watch this space for developments.
